About Me
I am a junior studying aeronautical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY). During the time I'm not at school, I live in Duxbury, MA which is a little town on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Since I was 6, I have been fascinated by photography. I was always amazed that it's possible to capture a split second in time forever. My first camera was a polaroid camera that my parents gave me. Polaroids were especially interesting to me because the image was visible on the print only a minute or two after the picture had been taken. In my freshman year of high school, I took a few photography classes and really began to learn about the inner workings of photography. I shot film with an old manual SLR and developed and printed my own work.
Today I no longer shoot film, and have transitioned fully into digital. Digital is perfect for me because I am also interested in graphics design and this allows me to utilize my graphic design skills in another medium. I am more involved in photography than ever before, and only getting more interested with every photo I take.
I have had work featured in "Artica Art Gallery" and have done some other assorted professional photography. I am also a photographer for the The Rensselaer Polytechnic, the school newspaper. My favorite genre of photography is landscapes, and I am often up before sunrise taking photographs.
I am an avid sailor and sail whenever I get the chance. I sailed in high school, now in college, and hope to continue sailing the rest of my life. Also, I love to travel and visit different cities or countries.
